What we see in art is never only about the artwork. It is also about memory, culture, emotion, and the stories we carry with us.
In this immersive Intercultural Club session, we will use art to practice one of the most important parts of intercultural communication: noticing the lens we bring before assuming the meaning of what we see.
Together, we will engage with selected artworks and visual forms through interactive practices, reflective prompts, mindful observation, and shared dialogue. We will not look for one “right” interpretation, but notice how meaning is shaped.
Through visual prompts, individual and group reflections, and shared practice, we will explore how the same image can open different stories, emotions, and meanings for different people.
This session is in collaboration with art historian, Mindful Art Club founder, and mindfulness practitioner Dr. Petek Göker Erköse.
