How much do we communicate before we ever speak?

The body has an accent too. An immersive session exploring nonverbal communication, movement, and cultural norms.

In this session, we explore how culture shows up in the body; in the way we stand, move, gesture, and relate to space and to each other.

Through guided movement, observation, and reflection, you’ll begin to notice the subtle, often invisible patterns that shape how we communicate without speaking.

🌍 What to Expect

• A guided, interactive experience (not a lecture)
• Simple, accessible movement and observation exercises
• Exploration of gesture, posture, and personal space across cultures
• A live movement illustration woven into the session
• Small-group reflection and shared insights

💡 What You’ll Get

• A new awareness of your own nonverbal communication
• Insight into how cultural norms shape physical expression
• A deeper sense of presence in how you connect with others
• Practical awareness you can carry into everyday interactions

✨ Important to Know

• No movement or dance experience needed - come as you are
• You choose your level of participation throughout
• The session is held in English, with flexibility in small groups
• Light snacks and drinks will be available during the break
• Limited seating to support a meaningful experience

🎶 A Special Element

This session includes a live movement illustration by a Berlin-based Japanese Modern Dancer “Mayuko Hiramatsu”, offering a visual and sensory glimpse into how culture, emotion, and communication can be expressed through the body.
